Chinese Herbal Soup for Healthy Hair
I was admiring myself in a mirror and I spotted a strand of white hair standing out from my crowning glory. This is unbelievable. How could this be happening? I am only 28!
The thought of growing more white hair is freaking me out as I am not prepare to reach that more mature phase in life.
To console myself, I can always hide them with some hair coloring but of course, doing so may harm my natural black hair and also my wallet. At this time around, it is always wise to save money.
I made a call to my mother and she told me that black sesame seed can help. It could be the answer to my woes. It is amazing what tips that your mother and her friends can share among themselves.
I did a search over some resources and true enough, according to the book, The Tao of Beauty, written by Helen Lee, you can have great healthy hair with chinese herbal soup!
Helen is a Ford fashion model and spent two decades as a student of Chinese herbal practices. She also runs her own Helen Day Spa at Manhattan.
Helen’s Chapter 6 - Recipes For Healthy Hair actually contains 5 different hair beautifying and growing soups:
- Black Sesame Seed Soup
- Peanut-Seaweed Soup
- Red Beans With Ribs Soup
- Walnut Chicken with Wolfberries
- Walnut-Lamb Stew
I have not tried any of those as it is highly recommended to use fresh ingredients. Nevertheless, I will add the ingredients into this coming week’s grocery shopping list.
