Detox Recipe: Oats Porridge with Coriander Leaves

If you are planning to go on a detox, oats can make really good detox meal. I love to make oats porridge because of its taste and creamy texture. Not only that, oats are highly nutritional and you can read all about it here.

I find oats porridge versatile as it can compliments various ingredients. Healthy oats recipe can go beyond the common ingredients like banana, honey and milk. Today’s recipe is Oats Porridge with Coriander Leaves.

The reason I picked coriander leaves is because of its sweet-smelling aroma and the many health benefits that this powerful herb can offer. Considered to be rich in various food elements, the coriander leaves contain protein, fat, minerals, fiber, carbohydrates, and water. The minerals and vitamins include: vitamin C, calcium, phosphorus, iron, carotene, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, sodium, potassium, and oxalic acid.

To make this super meal, you will need:

1 cup of wholegrain rolled oats

1 cup of washed coriander leaves

Method (Serves 4):

1. In a pot, add 5 cups of water and 2 cup of oats.

2. Lets stand for 10 minutes

3. Bring to boil and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occassionally.

4. Serve with Coriander Leaves.
