Demand for fish has surged as they are highly nutritive and inexpensive. Fish can be cooked to suit different tastes that will satisfy the most demanding person on earth.

Fish is also very low in sodium, making it a very healthy choice. You can see why more and more doctors and nutritionists are recommending that people start eating more fish. Just try to stay away from the breaded, over-processed fish sticks you see in the freezer section of your local grocery store.
With all these benefits, you may be wondering if fish is high in cholesterol, as many other types of meat are. Most fish are relatively low in cholesterol and saturated fats, which makes it much healthier than beef. Some studies have recently shown that certain types of fish can actually help to lower cholesterol.
Omega-3 fatty acids are known as the good fats, which are a necessary component in achieving optimum health. Some people take supplements such as flax seed oil. A much easier and more pleasant way to ingest these fatty acids is by eating salmon and trout, which are particularly high in omega-3. It’s easy to just add a few more fish meals to your weekly diet.
