The honey and lemon sugar scrub is a lovely scrumptious scrub that leaves skin so soft and smooth.

Honey

Honey has been used in beauty regimes since the time of Cleopatra and is just as popular today. Honey is a natural humectant, which means it attracts and retains moisture. It’s also an anti-irritant, making it suitable for sensitive-skin and baby products. The sweetness of honey will also gives a sweet and pleasant smell and flavor to this body scrub.

Lemon

The lemon is rich in fruit acids and it’s all natural beautifying properties have been relied upon by many throughout the ages. The Egyptians, the Greeks, Romans and the people of Asia enjoyed the benefits of the lemon long before its use in the America. Lemon is prominent among nature’s beauty ingredients. In this recipe, the lemon will help smooth your body, gently remove dead skin cells, make your skin look fresher and younger and invigorate your spirit.

To delight yourself with this honey lemon sugar scrub, you will need the following ingredients:

2 1/2 cups sugar

1/2 cup sweet almond oil

4 teaspoons lemon juice

4 tablespoons runny honey

4 drops lemon essential oil

Directions:

Combine the sugar and sweet almond oil in a large bowl and stir well to combine. Add the lemon juice and stir again. Finally, add the honey and lemon essential oil and stir again to mix. You should have a grainy paste which can last a few weeks if fresh ingredients were used and it is kept in an airtight container.

The almond oil in this mixture will help protect the surface of the skin, acting as an emollient, skin soother and softener, while conditioning the skin and promoting a clear young looking complexion. It also helps to relieve muscular aches and pains. Almond oil is suitable for all skin types, but is especially good for dry or irritated skin.

That sounds like a really great scrub. I did use honey and lemon juice as a moisture mask and that worked well.

When I saw the Rooibos Tea Face Scrub on sale on the Made from Earth website, I couldn’t believe it! My girlfriend was just telling me about it two days prior and how she paid over $50 for it. Well, she and I have two different types of skin, but one thing in common, we both try just about every beauty product out there on the market. So, without hesitation, this was my choice.

She asked that I try it and tell her what I thought. Her skin is oily, and she seems to have a problem with blackheads. Not many, but enough to notice and she’s tried several other products that just didn’t seem to work for her. She said that without a doubt, The Made from Earth Face Scrub (Rooibos) was one of the better products on the market.

Now, when I tried it, I liked it much better as an exfoliator. I fortunately have normal to dry skin and no blackheads. But, when I read that it also exfoliated the skin, I thought it was worth a try. I’m certainly glad that I tried it and I do like it for certain things. Now, understand that this is just my opinion and with all of the beauty products out there that make these kind of promises, it’s hard to say if you’ll agree or not. The only way to really tell is to try it yourself.

    Pros: Great exfoliator
    Gets rid of exsisting blackheads
    Leaves skin Smooth and Beautiful

Cons: Somewhat expensive – but good when compared to other organic and chemical free skin care products – especially if you can get it on sale below $50!
