How Safe are Green Cleaning Products
Los Angeles Times, April 28
[...]Martiné’s interest in green cleaning stemmed from reading that mopping agents might harm her new puppy — and coming home one day to find that her husband had passed out while cleaning their unventilated bathroom. He had been using a combination of products and had hit his head as he fell to the floor. He was just coming to when Martiné, a food photographer, returned home to San Francisco[...]
Like her, a growing number of Americans are seeking so-called green cleaners — products made with natural, nontoxic, biodegradable ingredients. Few consumers may be going the straight DIY route, but sales of natural cleaning products totaled $105 million during the last 12 months, up 23% over the previous 12 months, according to SPINS, a Schaumburg, Ill.-based market research and consulting firm for the natural products industry.

A Distinctive, Non-toxic Cleaning Alternative: Bio-Enviro “Concentrated Formula” is an all natural, economically priced and inexpensive solution ~ makes gallons of cleaner for pennies.
Bio-Enviro is extremely diverse: Glass – 1:256 (one ounce to two gallons of water), All Purpose – 1:128 (one ounce to one gallon of water), Heavy Cleaning – 1:64 (two ounces to one gallon of water). No product on the market can come remotely close to this pricing or the small amount of product used.

I have found excellent nontoxic, both commercial and home, cleaning products. Go to http://www.cleanroot.com I have tried several of their products and they are the best yet. Non toxic, smell great and best of all REALLY WORK! I love the Deep Clean and Super Shine for everything. They dont have a glass cleaner but when I contacted them they said one was just around the corner. I love products that can be used on a lot of different jobs and work.

You should also check out http://www.greencupboards.com. They independently test and certify cleaning products on the basis of ingredients, toxicity, manufacturing process, efficacy, and packaging and provide a detailed description of these categories for each product. They also provide bundles of products with everything you need for your supply closet.

Keep up the good work, I like to read blogs about green cleaning, I use all of them for my Cleaning Company. We don’t use any toxic chemicals and have recycle programmes setup with all our clients. The more people talking about it, the better.

Check out Green For Life at ShopTV Canada. You see the video and the product works great. People need to start noticing that the green products are as good as the toxic alternatives.

I am allergic to most household cleaners with harsh chemicals so a friend recommended that I try THE AMAZING WHIP IT, http://trywhipit.com/. I love it! It’s a nontoxic, 100% natural and biodegradable all purpose cleaner. I have a dog and it’s safe to use on both my stone floors and carpet. I also use it to clean all surfaces in my house and even on laundry and stains so it really saves me money :)

I use microfiber cleaning cloths from Norwex. They are antibacterial and do windows and mirrors like nothing I’ve seen. I got them at http://www.simplycleanandgreen.com and you should check them out. They are the best!

Hey Mary,
I bought those from http://www.simplycleanandgreen.com too. They are the bomb. The first time I used them, I was so impressed that I went around and cleaned all the windows of my house! Then I did all the shiny surfaces inside! Everyone should have these. Not only was I so impressed but the view off my 12th floor balcony is now the million dollar view! For only a few dollars at this site!
