Well Lemongrass can come in different varieties, but I think the color of the stalk has more to do with the amount of sunlight the plant gets. It will be white if it is partially shaded. The flavor will be different too.

I have heard that there are varieties of Lemongrass that are bred as a tobacco additive. Seems like it might make smoking more pleasant.

I have lemon grass growing in my garden quite long green leaves, but doesn’t seem to have (like in the picture) the long white stems, is there different kind of lemon grasses? and would mine be ok to make a tea with it.
